Do you have problems with potting mix that becomes compressed and then absorbs water with difficulty? This can be easily overcome by mixing COCO with the potting mix, which will ensure that it can absorb water easily again.

To ensure good root development the feeding water must be between 20 - 25°C. When it's below 15°C the roots’ capacity to absorb decreases quickly, which results in a smaller harvest. If the feeding solution is mixed using cold water then the pH will rise when the water is heated. In this case, a high pH can be avoided by setting the pH a bit lower from the start.

The more nutrients that have been added to the potting mix in advance, the more difficult it will be for cuttings to take. This problem can be avoided by using CANNA potting mixes.

Light breaks down iron chelates! Because of this, it is very important to ensure that no Ultra Violet light falls on the nutrient solution. Light also causes algae to grow in the nutrient solution, which can lead to blockages. Furthermore, algae can take up nutrient elements and cause nutrient deficiencies to occur.

Keep note of the amounts of nutrients and additives you add to each tank of nutrients you mix. You then have a good starting point for the next time!

Take your time diluting and adjusting your nutrient tank! This is essential for the growth, flowering and development of the plants and will yield the best results.

Very high EC values increase the chance of burning, particularly for plants that are directly under the lamp. In order to reduce the risk of burning, the potting soil can be rinsed with CANNAZYM (pH 5.8 acidify with CANNA pH- Grow).

Change from CANNA Terra Vega to CANNA Terra Flores when the flowers begin to develop. Normally speaking this will be after the plants have been lit for 12 hours per day, for between 1 and 3 weeks.

When you dilute an acidic product, always add the acid to the water, never add water to the acid, if it splashes it will cause burns on your skin or in your eyes!

Measuring the nutrient reservoir works as follows: Take EC as the starting point, measure it and determine whether it should be higher or lower, based on the values shown in the instructions. Only then should you adjust the pH using pH- or pH+, if necessary. Try to get the nutrient solution’s pH value correct at the first attempt.

CANNAZYM can be given continually and this is most easily achieved by mixing it with the feeding in the proportion of 2,5 ml/litre; 1:400, or it can be given once a week in the proportion of 10 ml/litre; 1:100. A further possibility is to add the CANNAZYM to the nutrient tank when it is just 25% full at 10 ml/litre; 1:100. CANNAZYM also makes the potting mix more suitable for reuse.

The products designed to adjust the pH are concentrated products. It is sometimes difficult to adjust the pH correctly in one go. To make life easier for yourself, dilute one part pH adjuster with ten parts water and use this to adjust the pH in your nutrient tank.

Using too much pH+ & pH- with each other disturbs the bicarbonate concentration and the water’s buffering capacity. Also, the mutual balance between the different nutrient elements will be influenced and deficiencies could arise. Adding too much pH- or pH+ can be prevented by first diluting it with water before adding it to the solution.

We recommend to use PK 13/14 always for one week! CANNA feeding already contains a certain amount of P and K. When the plant is in a certain stage of the flowering stage we can't increase the feed for the plant any more, so we change the PK-ratio by adding PK 13/14 for one week.

Trichoderma (a fungus family) do not kill bacteria. Most Trichoderma protect the plant against harmful fungi. This is because they eat other fungi. They stimulates the root environment so roots can develop better and with more root hairs. As a result the plant gains more vitality.

Never dilute more CANNAZYM than will be used within 10 days.

Foliar feeding with RHIZOTONIC is most efficient when this is carried out around the time that the lights go out when cultivating inside, or just before sunset when cultivating outside.

Prevent the accumulation of phosphate and potassium by using PK 13/14 no more than one week.

Do you want to raise or lower the pH by using pH+ or pH-? Then dilute a small amount of pH+ or pH- in a cup to make judging the dosage easier. Try to get the pH right the first time. Using a lot of pH+ or pH- one after the other will disrupt the concentration of bicarbonate in the water and affect its buffering capacities negatively.
